The Company
T.O’Donoghue is a third generation family-run business based in Hatton Garden at the heart of London’s jewellery district. Known as T.O’D to our worldwide customer base. We have been manufacturing and supplying the international jewellery trade with fine quality handcrafted pieces since 1951.
We are also dealers in antique and second-hand jewellery and have a constantly changing catalogue of stock. Through our extensive international network we are able to source your specific enquiries from rare period jewellery and large loose diamonds to classic vintage pieces.
Bespoke jewellery is a speciality at T.O'D from the initial design to the finished piece. Our highly skilled craftsmen create exquisite jewellery to be admired time and time again.
Our vast collection of modern vintage and antique jewellery is available to view by appointment or call us to discuss your requirements.

Our Heritage
T.O’Donoghue is named after our founder Tom O’Donoghue, who started his apprenticeship at the age of 14 and later became a Master Jeweller in the London’s jewellery district Hatton Garden.
Tom trained for seven years, winning multiple competitions for his skills. In 1951 he started his own business and T.O’D’s was founded. Tom’s warm-hearted personal approach and fine quality craftsmanship ensured that his business grew steadily, manufacturing jewellery for independent retailers nationwide. The firm’s growing reputation for quality and service, soon spread overseas and T.O’D expanded into Europe, America and Japan.
In 1974 Tom’s son and current Managing Director, John O’Donoghue, joined the family firm, having completed his training in Germany, Paris and New York.
John returned to London with an extensive knowledge of manufacturing and a passion for dealing in antique jewellery. After 40 years John opinion is highly regarded throughout the international jewellery trade.
Following in the family tradition John’s son, Luke O’Donoghue, joined the company in 2000. He trained under Tom’s personal supervision and travelled extensively around the world learning the trade from America to Asia as he has built his understanding of all areas of the business.
Luke is now a Company Director and runs the business together with his father. He continues to develop the company as new opportunities and markets continue to appear.
Tom meanwhile continued to work full time right up to the grand age of 86 after failing to retire for over 20 years due to his love of dealing and the close friendships had in the trade. He shared his expertise for 72 years before hanging up his loupe and maintained a keen interest in the business until he sadly passed away in 2010.
He is missed by many friends and former colleagues who trained under him, many of whom went on to become successful skilled craftsmen in their own right. His legacy still lives on with those he taught and encouraged to excel throughout the trade.
Today T.O’D continues to make fine quality handmade pieces with work still being carried out by craftsmen often trained by Tom. Our mission is to provide quality jewellery at reasonable prices and always to T.O’D’s standard. In this way we are committed to ensuring that Tom’s legacy lives on.
